et été, le numéro 74 de d’art & de culture dessine une Méditerranée en mouvement, où lieux, artistes et institutions inventent de nouvelles façons de faire dialoguer patrimoine, création et émotion.

Longtemps associée au luxe et à la villégiature, Monaco affirme plus que jamais sa singularité culturelle. Dans un territoire de moins de deux kilomètres carrés, musées, orchestres, scènes lyriques et compagnies composent un écosystème d’une rare intensité. À travers le regard de Célia Bernasconi et l’éclairage de Françoise Gamerdinger, directeur des Affaires culturelles de Monaco, ce numéro explore cette identité singulière : celle d’un véritable laboratoire culturel et patrimonial.

Cette dynamique traverse nos rencontres avec Cecilia Bartoli, qui défend à l’Opéra de Monte-Carlo un art vivant et sans frontières, ou encore avec le maestro Kazuki Yamada, qui revient avec émotion sur dix années à la tête de l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo. Danse, musique et arts de la scène prolongent ce dialogue entre héritage et création contemporaine, du Monaco Dance Forum aux Nocturnes de la Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild.

Le rêve et l’imaginaire irriguent également ce numéro, de l’exposition consacrée à Victor Brauner à la Villa Paloma / Nouveau Musée National de Monaco, aux œuvres de Marc Chagall, jusqu’aux propositions de Kiki Smith, Arne Quinze ou Joana Vasconcelos.

Autant de démarches singulières qui rappellent combien l’art et la culture demeurent un espace en effervescence, capable de transformer notre regard sur le monde.

This summer, issue 74 of d’art & de culture charts a Mediterranean region in motion, where places, artists and institutions are inventing new ways of bringing heritage, creation and emotion into dialogue.

Long associated with luxury and leisure, Monaco asserts more than ever its cultural singularity. Within a territory of less than two square kilometres, museums, orchestras, opera houses and companies form an ecosystem of rare intensity. Through the perspective of Célia Bernasconi and the insight of Françoise Gamerdinger, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department of Monaco (DAC), this issue explores this singular identity: that of a genuine cultural and heritage laboratory.

This dynamic runs through our encounters with Cecilia Bartoli, who champions at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo a living, borderless approach to opera, and with conductor Kazuki Yamada, who reflects on ten years as Artistic and Musical Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Monte-Carlo. Dance, music and the performing arts extend this dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation, from the Monaco Dance Forum to the Nocturnes at Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild.
